You can view the schedule of games below.
Friday the 15th of Feb was the start of the Annual Barooga Social Golf weekend. Unfortunately the numbers were down this year, but the good weather and great company made for an enjoyable time.
Overall & Ladies winner (again) was Trudy Law with a Nett 74, while the men's winner was Brian Wood with a Nett 78. Bill Bird and Rodney Lupson tied for second with a Nett 79. The putting was also won by Rod on a count back from Whitney with a total of 32 Putts. As usual the golf club put on great meals on the Friday evening and Saturday lunch, and their hospitality is to be commended.
Thanks also to Chef Dave who did the eye fillet justice on the Saturday night.
As normally happens, we named our Club Champion for the previous year. The honours went to Lee Long with 81 points. Lee was a clear winner from David Park (75 points) and Whitney (73 points). Well done Lee on another consistent year.
Whilst the weather remains fantastic, we would like to see as many golfers as possible to the next game. Please book the following game into your calendar now:
Next game is at Numurkah is on the 23rd June, 2019 at Keilor. Tee off time is 9:00am.
New players of all abilities are always welcome. The handicapper looks after all new players. I have heard from very reliable sources that the handicapper is a very compassionate person. So come along and enjoy a social game, and a few quiet beverages afterwards and participate in the banter.
Game details will be placed on notice board two weeks prior to game. If you intend to play, please ensure you put your name on the list to allow for catering.
