For those new to the club, we have a social golf section that caters for all abilities. Games are played once a month followed with a BBQ back at the club or a members’ house. See the schedule of games below. We also have a Club Champion award, which this year was won by Joe Qintel. The above picture shows Joe accepting the award at our annual Barooga trip. Joe won by one shot from Dave Park, a previous winner of this award.

The pinnacle of the season is our annual trip to Cobram Barooga. This year’s event was held over the weekend of Feb 16, 17 & 18.

Unfortunately the scorer for the day made a mistake and awarded the ladies winner to the wrong person. The corrected overall and ladies winner was Trudy Law with a net 65, while the men's winner was Rod Lupson, with a nett 73. Rod also won the putting with 31 putts. A great weekend was had by all, and it was terrific to have Bob and Chris White back with the group.

The last game was held at Trentham, and didn't the handicapper have a great time slashing a few handicaps. One in particular. The winner on the day, Whitney Turner. Whit fired a brilliant 69 nett. Whit also tied for the least amount of putts with Mark. Both of them starred with 32 putts.

Now that the fantastic weather has arrived, we would like to see as many golfers as possible to the next game. Please book the following game into your calendar now:

Next game is the big weekend of the 16th February, 2019 in Barooga.

For those that have missed out, the next game will be at Ballan on the 17th March at 10:00am

The 2019 syllabus has been published below. Have a great weekend to those joining the annual pilgrimage to Barooga.

New players of all abilities are always welcome. The handicapper looks after all new players. I have heard from very reliable sources that the handicapper is a very compassionate person. So come along and enjoy a social game, and a few quiet beverages afterwards and participate in the banter.

Game details will be placed on notice board two weeks prior to game. If you intend to play, please ensure you put your name on the list to allow for catering.
